Crusade for the Conversion of Greater New Orleans

Retrouvaille is a program designed to provide help and support to married couples who are undergoing difficulties in their relationship. Sponsored by the Catholic Church, Retrouvaille is open to couples of all faiths. It has proven helpful to couples who are troubled and stressed, or if the relationship has grown cold and distant. The next Retrouvaille Weekend will be July 6-8, 2012, at the Lumen Christi Retreat Center in Schriever, Louisiana. The special second collection will be taken next weekend, May 26 & 27, 2012, for the Peter’s Pence Collection (Collection for the Holy Father). This collection gives us the opportunity to extend a sign of peace to the Body of Christ around the world. Our gifts to this annual Collection help the Holy Father strengthen dioceses, religious orders, and struggling communities of faith when they need it most. The Bishops of Louisiana have designated Friday, June 1, 2012 as a day of prayer and fasting for protection during the hurricane season and for safety in this time of flooding.
First Holy Communion will take place at St. Patrick’s Church on June 10, 2012, the Feast of Corpus Christi, at the 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM Masses. If you are a parishioner of the parish and would like your child to receive First Eucharist, please contact the rectory at 525-4413.
The May crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary will take place on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the 9:30a.m. Mass and the 11:00a.m. Mass. Everyone is encouraged to bring flowers and place them near the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
