The second collection taken this weekend will be for the retired priests of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Please be generous to this special collection as a way of saying “thank you” to the 65 retired archdiocesan priests for their many years of service to the New Orleans Archdiocese.

Father Klores will be on a pilgrimage and away from the rectory during the month of May. Our prayers and best wishes for a safe journey go with Father and his group as they travel sacred places. Please hold any messages, phone calls, etc. until his return in June.
The May crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary will take place on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at the 9:30a.m. Mass and the 11:00a.m. Mass. Everyone is encouraged to bring flowers and place them near the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The 14th Annual Mother’s Day Rosary Crusade for Life, led by Archbishop Gregory Aymond and priests from this archdiocese, will pray the twenty decades of the rosary followed by the inspirational testimony of Sarah Hull and her miracle baby. This prayer event is sponsored by the Archdiocesan Sidewalk Counseling and Prayer Ministry, a ministry of the Respect Life Office of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Crusade for the Conversion of Greater New Orleans

Father Klores has designated an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Elliotte Harold, who will take the sacrament of the Eucharist to homebound members of the parish. If you are unable to attend Mass and would like to receive Holy Communion in your home, or place of residence, please call Elliotte at 504-833-2715 to schedule an appointment. He will be available most Mondays. Elliotte Harold is a dedicated, long time parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church.

Fr. Byron Miller, C.Ss.R., Vice Postulator for the Cause of Canonization, will celebrate a special Healing Mass and the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick beginning at 11:45a.m., there will be the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and veneration of the relic missionary crucifix.
