It is time to decorate our tree and light he lights. Bring an ornament, and some good ideas, to make our tree the brightest on Camp St. A lite brunch will be served. For more information: 525-4413.
On Thursday, December 9th, St. Patrick will host a casual LADIES LUNCHEON in the rectory. Ladies will be asked to bring 1 or 2 Christmas gift bags for the men at the Ozanam Inn, who are in the rehabilitation program. These residents do not leave the Inn, so this is a wonderful way to share our Christmas Spirit with them. The cost of the luncheon is $10.00 per lady. Saint Patrick’s Respect Life Group, led by Father Klores, will pray a rosary in front of Louisiana’s largest abortion facility on the corner of Ridgelake Drive and 20th Street in Metairie, Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. Everyone is invited!
On Saturday, November 27th at St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate a “Vigil for All Nascent Human Life”. The Holy Father has also requested that “all Diocesan Bishops of every particular church preside in analogous celebrations involving the faithful in their respective parishes, religious communities, associations and movements.”
Given the importance of the Holy Father’s request, St. Patrick’s Church will join the worldwide vigil for the Unborn Child with Adoration and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament on Saturday, November 27, 2010, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm. All are encouraged to attend and invite others to attend as well.

The church will be open only during the scheduled Masses on Thursday and Friday. The rectory office will be closed both days of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Woman’s New Life Center (WNLC) is a Christian organization promoting the sanctity of human life, the dignity of women, and the sacredness of sexuality by assisting women and girls who are unprepared for pregnancy. A speaker will be at all the Masses this weekend to explain more about WNLC and to invite everyone to their third annual fundraiser, Fais Do Do – November 19, 2010. Next Sunday our traditional end of the year Eucharistic Procession and Solemn Benediction will take place between the 9:15am and the 11:00am Masses. Note the change in the Mass schedule from 9:30am to 9:15am that applies only to this Sunday.
Persons planning to attend the 11:00am Solemn Mass, wishing to participate in the Solemn Benediction, should arrive by 10:30am.
