Service in the sanctuary can be a path to holiness for men, as well as being a way to support the Parish in a practical, active way. There is a continuing need for men of any age (or responsible older boys if accompanied by their fathers), especially at the main Sunday Masses. Instruction and training are provided. Please contact Robert Ramirez at 504.460.5041; e-mail: bramirez@bellsouth.net

Parishioners and friends of the parish are cordially invited to become a part of the music program here at St. Patrick’s. This parish is well known for its commitment to serious Catholic classical music, and we would like as many people to participate as are able to do so.
The following choral groups will begin rehearsals in September:
The only entrance requirements for any of these choirs are the desire to sing and the willingness to commit to regular attendance. Instruction will be offered in singing technique and music reading. Adults who wish to join, or parents whose children may be interested, are urged to contact the organist and choirmaster,
Andrew Mills at (504) 493-5879.

Reverend Monsignor Robert I. Guste, a wonderful priest and friend of St. Patrick’s, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, August 3, 2010. May his soul rest in peace. Please pray for the consolation for all who mourn him. Behold a great priest who in his days pleased God.
