Krewe du Voix, New Orleans’ newest professional vocal ensemble, under the direction of Paul Weber, will present at concert of Renaissance and Baroque music for Christmas, featuring Palestrina’s Missa “O magnum mysterium.” This will take place here at St. Patrick’s on Saturday 10 December at 2:00 p.m.. Envelopes for the annual giving of flowers to be placed on the high altar during the Christmas season are now available in the vestibule. Once completed the sealed envelope can be placed in any Mass collection basket or hand delivered to the rectory office before Monday, December 12, 2016.

St. Patrick’s Respect Life Group prays a rosary on the 4th Saturday of each month at 9:00 A.M. on the sidewalk in front of the Planned Parenthood Abortion Facility on South Claiborne Avenue between Cadiz Street and Jena Street. The next rosary is November 26, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. Everyone is invited to pray with us.

The church will be open only during the scheduled Masses on Thursday and Friday. The rectory office will close on Tuesday and reopen on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016.

A powerful earthquake on Sunday, October 30 struck close to Norcia, Italy leaving the town and surrounding area in ruins. The Basilica of St. Benedict, the historic church built atop the birthplace of St. Benedict, was flattened along with the town’s other buildings. St. Patrick’s second collection this weekend, November 12-13, 2016 will be dedicated to helping the monks rebuild the Basilica of San Benedetto; Monastery of San Benedetto; Monastery of San Benedetto in Monte and The Brewery. Please be generous to this very worthy cause.
At his request, Father Klores has been granted a temporary medical leave of absence effective immediately. During this time, visiting priests will be celebrating Masses at St. Patrick. Let us continue to pray that God will grant Father Klores a complete recovery.
Elliotte Harold, an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist for St. Patrick’s parish, will gladly bring the sacrament of Holy Communion to any homebound or hospitalized parishioner who is unable to attend Mass. The Tuesday, November 8, 2016 Solemn Requiem Mass has been cancelled. The next scheduled Solemn Requiem Mass will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
