Solemn Vespers and Benediction – Sunday, March 6 at 4:00pm

On Sunday, March 6, we will celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Lent (Laetare or “Rejoice” Sunday) with Vespers at 4:00 p.m. The service includes the singing of Psalms and Our Lady’s canticle, the Magnificat; and will culminate with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Sisters of St. Elisabeth Convent (Minsk, Belarus) – March 5-6

Next weekend we will welcome Sister Margarita and Sister Ksenia from Sisters of St. Elisabeth Convent, Minsk, Belarus. They will be offering for sale handmade articles from the workshops on the premises of their convent.
Sisterhood of St. Elisabeth was founded in 1996. Their missionary is to take care of mentally challenged children and adults. The sisters also operate a shelter and house for former drug and alcohol addicted people near the Convent.
In order to help these people some workshops were organized on the premises of the Convent where vulnerable people have a possibility to express themselves in art for God working together with nuns and sisters and making icons (including hand painted), crosses, crucifixes, wood carvings, embroidered and ceramic gifts, rosaries and vestments. All these goods made with love and prayer bring blessings to their owners.

St. Joseph’s Day Altar – Saturday, March 19

St. Patrick’s Church is sponsoring a St. Joseph’s Altar on Saturday, March 19 here in Reynolds Hall. Father Klores is asking for food donations and financial help from our parish organizations, parishioners and friends to support this very special event.

Armed with a stack of recipes and the know how to make the altar one of the most beautiful, Mrs. Mary Trentacoste and Theresa Panko will be guiding the event. Rock and Roll New Orleans Marathon – February 28

On Sunday, February 28, 2016, the Rock N Roll Marathon will be holding its run in the business district near St. Patrick’s Church. Access to St. Patrick’s Church will be limited from 6:00 A.M.—11:00 A.M. that morning.

Copies of the St. Patrick’s Church Access Pass to be placed on the dashboard of your car, along with important instructions to gain access to St. Patrick’s Church on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016 are available in the vestibule, and also online here.

Please read carefully as the instructions and routes vary for each morning Mass.

The Mass schedule at St. Patrick’s on Sunday, February 28, 2016 will remain the same: 8:00 a.m.; 9:30 a.m.; 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

In addition, an 8:00 a.m. Sunday Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church, with ample parking on the enclosed and secure lot that surrounds the church buildings. Easy access to the secured parking lot is through the gate located on the South Rampart St. side of the church.
