Also known as Peter’s Pence Collection, the second collection next week will be taken up to provide the Holy Father with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit the most disadvantaged: victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Join our Holy Father as a witness of charity to those who are suffering.
St. Patrick’s has recently been privately offered an early Twentieth-Century Bechstein grand piano, before it becomes available for public sale. This magnificent instrument from the golden age of piano building would be a real asset to our expanding music program, not only in special programs such as the recent Shakespeare recital, but also in the weekly preparation of our renowned liturgical music. If any parishioners or friends of St. Patrick’s would like to assist in the purchase of this piano (perhaps as a memorial gift or in honor of a loved one), they are warmly invited to speak to Father Klores, or to contact the rectory at (504) 525-4413.

Last Monday evening’s tribute concert to Shakespeare by St. Patrick’s soprano and tenor soloists, RuthAnn Chadwick and Kevin Rouchell was performed to a “packed” house! A most enjoyable evening of beautiful music was had by all.
Kudos to RuthAnn and Kevin for such grand performances.
