All Souls Day Envelopes

All Souls envelopes are now available in the narthex of the churc. The names of deceased loved ones should be recorded and the envelope delivered to the rectory office, or placed in any collection basket, before All Souls Day, Saturday, November 2, 2013. The listed names will be remembered at all the Masses celebrated on All Souls Day.

World Mission Sunday

World Mission Sunday, organized by the Propagation of the Faith, is a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church’s missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice. The second collection at all Masses next weekend, October 19 & 20, 2013 will be dedicated to the Missions.

Red Mass – October 7

The Saint Thomas More Catholic Lawyers Association, in conjunction with the Catholic Bishops of the State of Louisiana, announce the celebration of the Annual Red Mass, invoking the Holy Spirit upon the bench and bar of the State, on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Louis Cathedral. The Most Reverend Gregory M. Aymond will be the principal celebrant. Very Reverend James Wehner, Rector of Notre Dame Seminary, will be the homilist. Members of the bench and bar of the State, as well as all members of the lay public, are invited to attend.
