Women’s New Life Center – September 29 & 30

Susan Mire, MA, Founder of Woman’s New Life Center will be speaking at all Masses next weekend, September 29th and 30th and a second collection will be held to raise funds to include St. Patrick’s Parish into the Uptown Deanery St. Clare Chapel Naming Rights campaign. St. Patrick’s Parish Council – October 16, 2012

All members of St. Patrick’s Parish Council, and their spouses, will celebrate the opening of the Year of Faith on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Church. A Mass will be celebrated by Father Klores at 6:30 p.m. followed by the parish council meeting. Refreshments will conclude the evening’s events. All parish council members and their spouses are cordially invited.

Vespers with the American Guild of Organists

The New Orleans Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will come to St. Patrick’s for their annual opening service and installation of officers. Each September, the local Guild worships at a different church in New Orleans, and this year the service will take the form of Catholic Vespers (sung Evening Prayer). Music will be provided by St. Patrick’s Schola and distinguished local organists. Everyone is most welcome to attend the service.

American Code Blue – Blue Envelope Campaign

The Blue Envelope Campaign is a grassroots letter writing effort; the target mailing sates are September 8-15, 2012. Form letters to Louisiana representatives are in the narthex of the church. Everyone is invited to participate in the campaign by taking the letters addressed to your representatives; signing them; and mailing them in a blue/white envelope to their offices in Washington, D.C.
