On Monday, January 23rd , members of the New Orleans chapter of the American Guild of Organists will come to St. Patrick’s for an “organ crawl.” After a nearby dinner, they will proceed to the church where organ builder Patrick Murphy will speak about the instrument and answer questions. After a brief demonstration of our magnificent pipe organ by Andrew Mills (who has been elected to the chapter’s executive board), the Guild members present will have the opportunity to play and examine the instrument. There has been great interest in our organ among local church musicians, and this will be an exciting chance for St. Patrick’s to share our musical resources with the wider community.
This weekend the ACCESS baby bottle campaign will have baby bottles available for donations to benefit the ACCESS Pregnancy & Referral Centers.
