In response to the Church’s call for a new evangelization, the Institute of Catholic Culture was founded in 2006 by Rev. Franklyn McAfee, S.T.D., and Sabatino Carnazzo, M.A., as an outreach educational project within the Office of Evangelization at Saint John the Beloved Catholic Church in McLean, Virginia. From its inception in 2006, the Institute has offered weekly seminars in Catholic history, philosophy and theology, with a strong emphasis on the study of Sacred Scripture.
Early on the Institute established a web site (www.InstituteofCatholicCulture.org) and began recording its lectures given by influential Catholic educators such as Fr. Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R. (Founder, Franciscan Friars of the Renewal), Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. (Founder, Ignatius Productions), Fr. Joseph Fessio, S.J. (Founder, Ignatius Press), Dr. Robert Moynihan, Ph.D. (Founder, Inside the Vatican Magazine), Dr. Timothy O’Donnel, S.T.D. (President, Christendom College), Dr. Paul Thigpen, Ph.D. (Professor of History, Georgia Catholic College), and Christopher Check (Executive Vice-President, Rockford Institute), as well as many others.
These educational and cultural programs are offered to the public at NO CHARGE. Past programs are posted on the website: www.InstituteofCatholicCulture.org and are FREE TO DOWNLOAD.
Father Stanley Klores would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the matching fund. The goal of $100,000 was met, and then matched by an anonymous donor to total $200,000. A solid commitment to Jesus Christ, and the preservation of St. Patrick and St. John the Baptist, is affirmed by our parishioners.

Father Klores and the financial committee happily announce that the matching fund reached a total of $100,000 and was equally “matched”, by an anonymous donor, for a final total of $200,000. As good stewards we continue the work to preserve our beautiful and historic St. Patrick’s Church, a monument to God, built by immigrants and preserved through history by faithful parishioners.
